After an indoor breakfast we head off in the van to Pately Bridge, about 5 miles away. An attractive little town around the river Nidd. We buy a map of the Nidderdale area and walk up the river along the Nidderdale Way to Gouthwaite reservoir. Then along its Eastern side and back along the road. We then head off towards the lead mines and arrive back at Pately Beidge after about 5 hours of walking.

Tea in the van in the sun then back to Oxer Close Farm.  We are still the only ones here. We are joined for tea by some very friendly free range chickens.
